📦 How to Submit a Port Request in the Signal House GHL App

Porting your number into Signal House allows you to use your existing number for A2P messaging inside your GoHighLevel account. Follow this simple guide to submit a port request accurately and avoid any delays.

Note: If you are porting your GoHighLevel LeadConnector number into Signal House, we recommend that you wait prior to setting Signal House to be your default voice provider. Reach out to our team if you have any questions.

🚀 Step-by-Step: Submitting a Port Request

1. Open Signal House App

  • From your GHL sidebar, click on Signal House.

  • Navigate to the “Port Numbers” section from the top navigation bar.

2. View Existing Requests

  • You’ll see a list of previously submitted port requests.

  • Each entry includes:

    • Request Date

    • Phone Number

    • Porting ID

    • Process Status

    • Location

    • Whether it’s been Accepted/Rejected

      • Note, if rejected, our team will quickly be in touch!

3. Start a New Port Request

Click the “Submit Port Request” button.

You’ll need to fill out the following details:

🔹 Number Details:

  • Phone Number you want to port

  • Is it a wireless or landline?

    • Note: Porting a wireless number isn't really recommended, unless it's a dedicated work phone and you understand what you're giving up; when porting a cell phone number, it turns the device into a media player with no cellular connectivity, as the number itself (and thus the service) is ported to Signal House. So your phone's functionality will be limited to that of our app's functionality in GHL.

  • Is it a partial port or a full service port?

    • A partial port refers to porting just the messaging service, i.e., having your messaging powered by Signal House, and voice provided by another provider.

      • So the answer is "yes" you are able to use Signal House for SMS, and another provider for voice! You can also Signal House for voice, and another provider for SMS.

🔹 Business Info:

  • Business Name

  • Billing Name

  • Authorized Contact Person Name

  • Contact Email

  • Phone Number of the contact

  • Service Address (Street, State, City, Country, Zip Code)

  • Is the billing address the same as service address? (Yes/No)

🔹 Optional Assignments:

  • You can assign the number to a specific Brand or Campaign during this stage if you'd like.

    • Note: If you don't assign your number to a Brand and Campaign at this stage, you'll be able to once the port finalizes via the "Configure" button in the Your Numbers section.

4. Submit the Request

  • Review all the entered data

  • Click the Submit button

  • You’ll receive a confirmation and your port request will show up in the list

⏳ Processing Time

Porting requests typically take 48 hours for messaging service only ports (not porting calling/voice), and 4 to 7 business days for a full port to complete.

✅ Pro Tips for Approval

  • Ensure that the address and authorized contact details exactly match the current provider’s records.

  • Provide recent billing information or invoices from the losing carrier for verification.
