Update a Brand
✏️ How to Edit a Brand in Signal House (GHL App)
If your brand registration is Unverified, you'll need to update your brand to fix any issues. Likewise, even if a brand is Verified, you may want to update its information. Here's how you can do that:
🔍 Steps to Edit a Brand
Go to your Signal House App in GHL.
Navigate to the Brands tab.
Locate the brand you want to update in the list.
Click the ✏️ pencil icon in the Action column next to the brand name.
🧾 Editable Brand Fields Explained
Field Name | Description |

Legal Company Name | Registered name of your business. Make sure it matches government/tax records. *Updating this field after the brand is verified requires re-verifying the brand, incurring the brand registration fee set by your Agency. **This field cannot be updated if an active campaign has been created under this brand (if a campaign has an "Active" status, this cannot be updated) |
DBA / Brand Name | "Doing Business As" name (if different). This will default to the same name as the "Legal Company Name," so you can leave this if no changes are necessary. |
Type of Legal Form | Choose from Private Profit, Non-Profit, Government, etc. *Updating this field after the brand is verified requires re-verifying the brand, incurring the brand registration fee set by your Agency. **This field cannot be updated if an active campaign has been created under this brand (if a campaign has an "Active" status, this cannot be updated) |
Tax Number/EIN | Your Tax ID (US-based users use EIN). This can be found on your W9/SS-4 or by calling the IRS for business owners, and on your W2 as an employee. *Updating this field after the brand is verified requires re-verifying the brand, incurring the brand registration fee set by your Agency. **This field cannot be updated if an active campaign has been created under this brand (if a campaign has an "Active" status, this cannot be updated) |
Country of Registration | Country where your business is officially registered. *Updating this field after the brand is verified requires re-verifying the brand, incurring the brand registration fee set by your Agency. **This field cannot be updated if an active campaign has been created under this brand (if a campaign has an "Active" status, this cannot be updated) |
DUNS, GIN, or LEI | Optional further identification fields |
Address / Street | Registered physical address. Make sure it’s verifiable. |
City | City where the company is located. |
State / Region | State or province. Required for many compliance checks. |
Postal Code / Zip | Accurate zip/postal code of your business location. |
Website/Online Presence | Required. Must be working and include all of the necessary information in Contact Us and Privacy Policy/Terms pages. Not sure if your website is compliant? Opt-In Link | URL where a user would go to submit their information to opt-in to receive messaging from your company. |
Privacy Policy Link | Must lead to a functioning privacy policy page. |
Terms Link | Must lead to a functioning terms & conditions page. |
Vertical Type | Your business industry (e.g., Real Estate, Retail, Healthcare). |
Support Email Address | Must be valid and ideally match your domain (e.g., support@yourbrand.com). |
Support Mobile Phone | Used for carrier verification. Include with country code (e.g., +1, +92). |
After making changes, click Save in the bottom-right corner.
⚠️ Why Brand Verification Might Fail
If your status still shows as UNVERIFIED, here are the top reasons:
EIN Doesn't Match Company Legal Name
→ Ensure the EIN is the correct EIN for that business. You can find this on your SS-4/W9 or by calling the IRS as a business owner, and on your W2 as an employee.Misclassified Legal Form
→ Double-check that you select the correct legal form (e.g., don’t mark yourself non-profit if you aren’t registered as one).
